The Best of the Television

Okay, I know it's 6 months late to
do any "best of the decade" stuff now, but I feel like there are so many great shows out there that I never talk about.

I think that, even though it was made in 1999, The best show of the decade was, by far, Freaks and Geeks. This show is high-school dramedy at it's best. It's about a completely normal family, a dad, a mom, a high-school freshman boy, and his older sister. But the good part comes when you find out the boy is a total geek in love with Steve Martin and Bill Murray, and the girl is a total freak, listening to rock and roll, getting  drunk, and much more law-breaking things. This show is FANTASTIC! Note: You will not see this show listed in any other categories, because it's not nice to the other great shows this decade.

So now that you know the best show in total, lets get down to more specific categories.

BEST BRITISH SHOW
A complete tie, between The IT Crowd and Little Britain.
The IT Crowd is simply about 2 goofy guys and a woman who work in IT, answering everyone's questions with "Have you tried turning it off and on again?", and if that doesn't work, "Are you sure it's plugged in?".

Little Britain is a hilarious skit show. Now remember, this is British television, so they can show anything they want. Although, in my mind, the funniest ones are the least inappropriate.

BEST DRAMA
Friday Night Lights. It would definitely be different if I was aloud to see Mad Men, The Wire, or The Sopranos. But of course, I'm not, so Friday Night Lights it is. Anyway, Friday Night Lights has fantastic acting. Every time I see a good scene, I think about how amazingly it was acted, filmed, directed, and much much more!

BEST COMEDY
The Office, The IT Crowd, 30 Rock SNL, Little Britain, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and My Name is Earl. I'll just give quick summaries for each of them. The Office: Crazy boss+Crazy workers=Hilarious show. SNL: Funny skit show. The Simpsons: Hilarious family includes the usual, an always-drunk dad, his nice and caring wife, a trouble-making boy, and a super-smart girl. Family Guy: An inappropriate version of The Simpsons.
My Name Is Earl: A criminal who learns about karma and decides to make up for everything bad he did.
30 Rock: The Office in a TV workspace.

All of these shows are great, and you should watch all of them.
